How to post an article

How to post articles to AW website for Windows users:

Getting into the article submission system

  1. Make sure you are logged into the AW website.
  2. Select article submission on the right hand side menu
  3. On the next screen select new article

Writing the article

  1. Give the article a clear name
  2. Type in your name as the author
  3. Short name is optional
  4. Select an appropriate contact person, this may not always be yourself
  5. Write the article in the content box. The toolbar at the top of the box should function similar to MS word.
  6. Linking: Using your mouse highlight a word that you want to be the link, Click on the globe icon in the menu, in the popup window type in where you want it to be linked to.
  7. Adding additional photos:Find a photo that you would like to include in your article online somewhere, right click on the photo and click on properties then copy the images url address back in the article put the cursor where you would like the photo to appear and click the image icon (looks like a yellow little mountain), Paste the article url in select left, right, etc.
  8. Write a one paragraph (2-3 sentence) abstract for the front page,

Adding the images

  1. Find the images you want and save them to your desktop
  2. Make sure the images are the write size (Content images should be under 3” wide and abstract images should be about 1 ½” wide )
  3. Any photo / image software can resize the photos
  4. Then browse for the images and select them

Dates

  1. Post date- generally don’t touch this
  2. Release date- this is the date it will show up on the website
  3. release time- time on the day it releases

Almost done:

  1. Once the text, photos, and dates are the way you want them select post
  2. The next page is a preview of your article
  3. To post to various parts of the website click once on the wrench in the top left corner
  4. Select edit if you want to make changes or manage if you are to post to the public
  5. The manage page is where you select where it appears online.
  6. Simply choose expiration dates on the sections of the website you wish it to appear
  7. Select update content on the bottom and you are done
